Consultation & Concept
We begin with a detailed conversation about your vision, goals, budget, and site. From there we develop 2-3 concept options — sketch plans, 3D visualisations, and mood boards — to explore different approaches and help you choose a direction.
4-6 weeks
Planning Design
We develop the floor plan layout in detail — refining spatial relationships, room sizes, circulation, and orientation in response to your feedback and site constraints.
1-2 weeks
Facade Design
With the floor plan resolved, we turn our attention to the external character — exploring materiality, roof form, windows, and how the building presents to the street and garden.
1-2 weeks
Planning Documentation
We prepare detailed planning drawings in accordance with Victorian requirements, including design statement and planning application support. Council pre-lodgement meetings can help streamline this phase.
2-3 weeks + council time
Construction Documentation
Following planning approval, we develop comprehensive construction documents with technical details, specifications, and coordination with engineers—everything your builder needs.
4-8 weeks
Construction Support
Though not required, we can provide site administration, reviewing submittals and recommending design decisions as construction progresses, ensuring your vision is realized.
